CAPRI Heart and Lung Institute has many success stories from our patients. By comparing entrance and graduation tests, CAPRI has an 85 percent success in patients achieving an increase in lung capacity, exercise endurance and decreased depression (a normal occurrence when facing a life-altering disease). Over 50 percent of our patients achieve weight loss. We, at CAPRI strive to give our patients the very best in care. A Customer and Physician Satisfaction Survey and a Phase II program/graduation survey are available to our clientele. We ask them their likes and dislikes for our programs and their ideas for CAPRI’s future. We also ask our patients to rate from 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) their satisfaction with our programs and staff. CAPRI’s programs and staff have never been rated below a 5 and 80 percent rate the programs a 10+. Despite these successes, it has always been necessary for CAPRI, a non-profit 501c3 program, to solicit grants, community and corporate donations and hold special events. Insurance fees are not sufficient to pay for equipment and program supplies, and administrative and operating expenses.
